Seeing the way God uses color in his creation inspires my art and gives me a clearer view of His love for me and you. I'm inspired by the sparks of emotion I feel when I see color, and I hope you feel those sparks when you view my work.

Hello there, friend! Maybe you're new here or just have a question to ask me. Check out my answers below to some of the questions I get asked most frequently. Feel free to ask another in the comments section and I'll do my best to answer it there.

do you have any tips for visiting oahu?

Yes! Check out this post where I share all my favorite things to do on Oahu. We love that island and there is so much to see and do! Feel free to email me with any questions! We have also visited Kauai, Big Island and Maui-- so I might be able to answer some questions regarding those islands as well.

we're thinking about moving to hawaii. Do you ever get island fever?

We lived there almost three years and loved every minute of it. We never gotten island fever, but we did our best to explore every part of the island. I think the hardest part of living there, besides being so far from friends and family back on the East Coast, was that we missed a lot of the stores/restaurants that we were used to and prices are very high. But, we discovered new favorites and gotten used to (sadly) the high prices.

So Where are you now?

We currently live just outside of Boston, where Chris is attending grad school through a Navy program. We'll be here for three short years before the Navy scoots us on to the next adventure!

What about that cute boy of yours?

Silas was born in August 2012 and we love him to pieces. You can read more about our life with him here and here.

What kind of camera/lenses do you use?

I use the Canon Rebel t3. I love it! I always use it on Aperture Priority Mode (AV).

About 98% of the time I use my 50mm f/1.8 lens. This lens is incredible and it's only about $100. I bought my lens from Amazon and my camera from Best Buy (I had gift cards, so that made it the best deal for me).

I also use a 55-250mm zoom lens. I mostly use this for taking pictures of Chris surfing or things like that. It's not a fabulous lens, but it does a great job capturing details even from far away. I believe it was about $250 on Amazon.

which editing program do you use to make your collages and graphics?
For all posts prior to April 19, I used picnik.com. I now use PicMonkey Royale, which has lots of extra features for $33/year. I've found that the collage and levels feature on iPiccy is also really great. I wish I had the patience (and budget) for Photoshop, but I find that PicMonkey works great for me since it's quick, easy and fun.

Do you take custom orders?

I do! I love custom orders. You can read all about my custom order policies and see some examples of my work here.

Do you ship internationally?

I do ship internationally! You'll find international shipping rates on all my listings in my Etsy shop.
