Seeing the way God uses color in his creation inspires my art and gives me a clearer view of His love for me and you. I'm inspired by the sparks of emotion I feel when I see color, and I hope you feel those sparks when you view my work.

my little valentine.

Hey friends! I'm not really a big Valentine's girl (this may have something to do with the fact that Chris and I have only been together for two out of our seven years together), but I can't resist a day when it's acceptable to wear pink tights and a red headband and eat candy all day.

This morning, Silas and I walked out to our family room and I saw a bouquet of bright orange daisies and sunflowers on the dining room table. I assumed they were for my mom from my dad, but I looked closer and saw a note with my name on it. Apparently Chris arranged with my parents to have a little bit of love waiting for me when I woke up. He hand-wrote a letter and scanned it in. My dad printed it off and left it on the table for me to find this morning. I love seeing my love's handwriting, especially when he writes such sweet words. He makes me feel so cherished, even from across the world.

I'll be spending my day with my little Valentine up there. He's been smothering me with sloppy kisses all morning, I think his dad must have hinted that he should be extra cute today or something.

Hope you have a wonderful day, whether you're celebrating with someone or not! I plan on treating myself to a pretzel roll at the Amish market. ;)

a change of pace for the little things linkup.
