In college, an old boyfriend of mine gave me a watch. A little silver thing with a tiny orange face. I wore it everywhere and eventually the battery died and now it's buried in a box somewhere with my high school ring and my first pair of earrings. So for the past 8 years or so, I've been digging around in my purse for my phone amongst receipts, lipsticks, and now Cheerios (I'm not an organized person in any respect) every time I want to check the hour.
